Tomáš Marušiak MFA
Tomáš Marušiak is a Slovak artist and researcher. Born on April 21, 1980, in Košice (SK), he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava in 2004 (Open Studio of Prof. Rudolf Sikora). Subsequently, he taught as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Arts, TUKE in Košice (2005-2012). Professionally, he focuses on digital art, AIArt, and the research of artificial aesthetics. He is the originator of numerous international projects in the field of art and design. Marušiak is currently conducting PhD research in the field of neuroaesthetics and artificial aesthetics at Masaryk University in Brno (CZ).
Assoc. Prof. Richard Kitta. MFA, ArtD
Richard Kitta is a multimedia artist, architect, cultural activist, editor, and university lecturer. He is behind several artistic projects such as DIG gallery, ENTER superzine, MAO / Media Art Office, and Kotolňa art space. His participation with the media art platform DIG in 2017 as part of the prestigious international project EDASN (2014-2017) with the leader Ars Electronica, Linz (AT), contributed to Košice earning the title of UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts. As a multimedia author, he works with topics like virtual and physical memory and their creative transformations. He is an active artist, working and exhibiting internationally, primarily in the context of contemporary media art. Richard Kitta focuses on new art forms and interdisciplinarity in art. In the projects and tasks he addresses, he also explores the possible applications of artistic research and the transfer of creative technologies within artistic practice. Currently, he works as a lecturer in the New Media Studio at the Technical University of Košice.
